Admission Procedures

For all degree programs in the Department of Biostatistics the applicant must meet the following requirements.

 
  • Possess a B.S. or B.A. degree in arts, sciences, engineering or nursing or an M.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M. from an approved school.
  • Complete and submit an application form.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Have three credits of undergraduate (or graduate) biology. (Students not satisfying this requirement may make up the deficiency by taking a course during their first year of graduate study.)
  • Graduate Record Examinations (for students applying for the M.S. or Ph.D. This requirement is waived if the applicant has a Ph. D. or M.D.).
  • One course in computer science (a deficiency in computer science can be made up the first year).
  • One year of calculus (not required for the MPH degree).
