Admission Procedures

For all degree programs in the Department of Biostatistics the applicant must meet the following requirements.

Possess a B.S. or B.A. degree in arts, sciences, engineering or nursing or an M.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M. from an approved school.
Complete and submit an application form.
Submit two letters of recommendation.
Have three credits of undergraduate (or graduate) biology. (Students not satisfying this requirement may make up the deficiency by taking a course during their first year of graduate study.)
Graduate Record Examinations (for students applying for the M.S. or Ph.D. This requirement is waived if the applicant has a Ph. D. or M.D.).
One course in computer science (a deficiency in computer science can be made up the first year).
One year of calculus (not required for the MPH degree).
