Research Interests

My current research is in two areas: 1) behavioral research related to smoking, and 2) the development and application of statistical methodology to cancer clinical trials, primarily in lung cancer, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer. I am the Executive Director for The Reduce Smoking and Exposure to Tobacco (ReSET) Center. I am also the statistician responsible for the Behavioral and Health Outcomes Program at the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP). (Health Sciences Faculty Research Interests Project). I am an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Consulting Editor for the Annals of Surgical Oncology.
